The International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD) is celebrated on 3 December each year. The theme for 2015 is: "Inclusion matters: access and empowerment for people of all abilities”. The Foundation is pleased to announce that YMCA Auckland has confirmed its 500 staff at 16 facilities have signed up for a Halberg NET - a course on providing sport and recreation activities to all New Zealanders across various abilities and skill sets.

Hosted by our partner, the Harcourts Foundation, the dinner saw Harcourts present the Halberg Disability Sport Foundation with a cheque for $113,000 – an outstanding result that will make a significant impact upon the lives of physically disabled New Zealanders.
