Rawiri Tristram-Brown
Seven year old Rawiri Tristram-Brown from Levin can now go on family bike rides thanks to a new trike received through the Halberg Activity Fund.
The Levin East School student has spina bifida, a condition that affects his spinal cord, and his new trike provides the support and balance he needs to cycle.
Rawiri’s grandfather, Roy Freegard, is grateful for the funding towards the trike.
“We would like to thank Halberg for its contribution towards an amazing trike for Rawiri,” says Roy.
“Without this help, it would have been a lot more difficult to get such a beautiful custom-built trike that he loves. Now everyone in the family has a bike and we are looking forward to going on rides together,” he says.
“Thank you for enhancing Rawiri’s life by increasing his mobility and enabling us to spend quality time together as a family.”
